Full text of Governor General’s speech is as follows:

In the Name of Creator of Art and Creativity

Dear Audience, Dear Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen

As the Governor General of Esfahan Province, it is my great pleasure and honor to welcome your presence in Esfahan on behalf of art-creator and art-foster people of Esfahan, in the cradle of art and thought, culture and civilization, wisdom and spirituality, everlasting land of sacrifice and resistance, creative city, world crafts city and the city of turquoise domes.

Esfahan is a great testimony to Iranian creativity, a museum city that tourists, travelogue writers and orientalists have called it a magical and mythical city and culture-foster people have named it half of the world. A city that is rooted in the history. A land with more than seven thousand years of civilization which has been the capital of Iran in three historical periods and enjoys over twenty two thousand cultural, historical, natural, religious and tourist attractions, seven world heritage sites and two intangible cultural heritage registered by UNESCO, a center for monotheistic religions and the city of peaceful coexistence among minorities of Armenians, Zoroastrians and Jews.

Esfahan, the encyclopedia of art and architecture of Iran, whose immortal majesty of its culture and civilization has long been indebted to the great efforts of scientists, philosophers, scholars and wise men like Avicenna, Mulla Sadra, Sheikh Bahaee, Mirdamad, Mir Fendereski and others and owed to the unique coexistence of monotheistic religions.

Undoubtedly, holding this scientific seminar in Esfahan as the important center of Iran's nuclear industry having infrastructure facilities such as Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF) and Natanz nuclear facility is another evidence of scientific creativity and genius of nuclear scientists and experts of Iran.

Emergence of phenomena like globalization that has broken down the geographical, political, economic, cultural and artistic borders of nations of the world and has faded the originality of human societies, necessitates preserving and protecting the valuable artistic, cultural and scientific heritage more than before. It is hoped that holding such seminars and exchanging scientific achievements and also promising horizons from implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Actions (JCPOA) as a valid international document and a binding agreement pave the way for scientific thinking and mutual cooperation among the countries and open a new chapter in fair and all-out development of science, respecting the rights of nations in using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, avoiding any kind of extremism and replacing some countries’ language of threats and sanctions with this logical approach.

It is our pleasure that this scientific event is being held in Esfahan and I warmly welcome you again. I wish the seminar reach its great goals in development of scientific achievements and cooperation with the EU and the guest countries.

I ask the Almighty God to grant you good health and continued success.
