Iran-S. Africa cooperation will not reduce with US exit from JCPOA Governor General meets with Ambassador of South Africa
Governor General of Esfahan Province in a meeting with South African ambassador to Iran Vika Mazwi Khumalo referred to the long-standing relationship between the people of Iran and South Africa and called for boosting trade, economic and scientific relations between the two countries.

Expansion of economic cooperation between Esfahan and South Africa will help bolster ties between the two countries, he said.

Despite US sanctions against Iran, industrial units of Esfahan export high-quality products to European countries, Rezaee added.

Esfahan can help promote friendship between the two countries in the political, economic, cultural and tourism arenas, he said.

Rezaee also hoped that the meetings would lead to surge in trade and economic exchanges between the two countries.

Ambassador of South Africa, for his part, said that promoting tourism is one of the effective areas for economic growth.

Stressing the need for establishing direct flight between the two countries, he said, "Although there are economic and international limits in the field, we are seeking to solve the problems."

US withdrawal from JCPOA will not decrease his country’s economic, trade and cultural cooperation with Iran, he added.
